Rising Students beat Biswabharati Cricket Club in the all-Cuttack final by 24 runs to win the Mangala Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sunshine grund in Cuttack today.
Left-arm spinner Dhiraj Singh claimed three wickets for 15 runs to be adjudged the man of the match. Roshan Swain, Subit Biswal and Jayant Behera won the man of the tournament, best batsman and best bowler prizes respectively.
The champion side received the top prize of Rs 11,111, while runners-up were given Rs 7,777.
Earlier in the semifinals, Biswabharati beat Saheed Sporting (Bhubaneswar) by 24 runs, while Rising Students prevailed over city opponents Juvenile Club by 27 runs.
